Bethany Cagle

Bethany Cagle, a Florida native, grew up in a family focused on community values and the arts. This led to an interest in volunteering in the community and performing too. Throughout the 1990’s, you may have seen Bethany performing in various Tampa theatre ensembles or performing on local children’s television. In 1997, she received a B.A. in Theater from the University of South Florida in Tampa and began hosting classical music on WUSF 89.7.

Today you can hear Bethany Cagle on Classical 89.1 WSMR, a part of WUSF Public Media. She provides interesting background on the music and tells you what is happening in the community arts scene. She is in demand as a voice over artist.

Tom Thompson

After a long and award winning career producing and directing television commercials for such industry giants as AMTRAK, NASCAR, and Princess Cruise Lines, Tom decided that limiting creativity to 60 seconds was a bit too confining for his taste. He decided to chuck the big office and the big bucks in order to struggle as an independent filmmaker. What a sucker. In 2003 he began paying his dues with a series of short films that showed promise and began to gain some acclaim via the internet. In 2005 a call came from Hollywood. No, it wasn’t the big time, but it was director Vince Rocca asking him to do some editing on his feature film, Kisses & Caroms. Kisses went on a successful film festival run and was later released by Warner Home Video in 2006. Encouraged by riding the coat tails of someone achieving success, Tom began dreaming bigger dreams and began producing a few higher profile projects including the sitcom pilot Counter Intelligence. The pilot was was profiled on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and while the audience loved it, the networks didn’t. The show was never picked up, but Comedy Central did give it serious consideration. Then came the monster… “Waste of Space”. A four year love-hate relationship that was finally finished earlier this year and is receiving distribution offers even before it hits the film festival circuit. To top off 2010, Tom was just asked to produce the upcoming action thriller “Eye Shadow” to be shot in 2011. “Filmmaking is a bumpy ride,” Tom has been quoted as saying, “I’ve learned that this business is like being on a never ending, gut wrenching roller coaster, so please excuse me if I puke on your shoes.”
