Film Blocks
The nature of a film festival is to present multiple themes and film making genres in a variety of styles and make them accessible without overwhelming the audience.
Since so much of what we have is short subject matter and experimental in nature many works do not follow the :30, :60 and 1:20 time stamps of conventional programming. To give viewers a well rounded sampling of the film festival experience in a reasonable time frame we present film blocks to incorporate content that complement one another while celebrating the diversity of each film. This is why we place animations, short films and documentaries into single film blocks; so that our viewers may experience entertainment that is wonderful, thought provoking and compacts a lot of information into a reasonable period of time.
We ask viewers who come to see a specific film that happens to be at the tail end of a film block to enter the theater for the entire film block to ensure that you will have a seat (first come, first seated) for the exhibition of your choice and enjoy what we have programmed with it.
Film Makers In Attendance
Some film makers will be in attendance at the screening of their film and will be available for a question and answer session immediately following the film block. Those scheduled to attend are denoted on this page by this symbol ![]()
